For my podcast I had to include something about events and an interview had to be included as well. The person I decided to interview was the campus officer James Reid. To carry out my interview I had to write a few questions to ask him and had to make sure that they were questions that could only be answered with more than one word so that my interview wasn’t so short. Getting my interview with James was quite easy as we’re frineds anyway so I just had to ask and he was willing to help. Doing the interview with a friend was easy as it didn’t feel awkward or anything.
The questions I asked him were:
- How did you feel on your very first day at college?
- What do you do around college to chill out?
- Do you have any tips for surviving at college and not getting stressed out about it?
- Being the campus officer what events are you planning for the next college year?
I decided to interview him because I thought he would be able to tell me about how he has survived this year at Mid Kent College and also about any upcoming events that he has helped to plan for the students at the college. I interviewed James in June 2010 as this was when the assignment was set and also when it was due in. I interviewed him in the radio studio as it was a quiet area that would help from picking up background noises while I was asking him the questions I had written.
Doing this worked well for my podcast because when I listened to it I thought it sounded great
