Horror trailer

For an assignment at college we had to produce a film trailer and I chose to make it in the genre of horror. The idea I had for it was that there was a student whose parents had been killed by another student at his college and he was trying to find out who the killer was. Unfortunately, this student was also getting bullied at college because of this, so he thought anyone who got in his way or made him mad had to be hurt to understand how he was feeling, at the end he eventually found the person who killed his parents but it turned out that the killer was his brother but he never knew about it.

I thought my trailer was ok but could have been a lot better I suppose by adding music into the background to give it more of a horror feel to it, unfortunately I saved it onto my memory stick and since then I’ve lost my memory stick so I don’t have it anymore but if I had to make another one I’d make sure I saved it to more than one place!!

plagiarism essay

Plagiarism essay

What is plagiarism?

Basically plagiarism is when you use someone else’s work and try to pass it off as work that you have done yourself. It’s copying another person’s work and keeping it as your own so that you don’t have to do anything yourself. It’s taking information that it not your own but telling people that it is yours to try to pass your assignments. It can end up being quite serious if you do this with your work.

How can it happen?

Plagiarism happens by taking work done by someone else and giving it in as work that you have done yourself. It can also happen by copying parts of information from the internet or books and not giving a reference about where you got it from originally and about who wrote it originally.

What could happen if you plagiarise?

If you make the mistake of plagiarising someone’s work as your own then it’s quite likely that you will fail that particular assignment and it’s possible that you could get expelled, but if it’s a bigger thing than just a college assignment then you could get fined for it.

How can you make sure you don’t plagiarise?

To make sure that you are not plagiarising someone’s work as your own then you need to make sure that when you use information that’s not your own from books or the internet that you must leave a reference in your work to show where you got it from exactly, who made it and when you got it.

What is plagiarism?

  • [1]to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one’s own
  • to use (another’s production) without crediting the source
  • to commit literary theft
  • To present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source.

College Blogs & work

Blogs went well, still got to edit my introduction blog though but I need to get the tape from the person that had it after me to get my work.

Cadets blog went well but found some things I could improve on when I do another one. Basically all the work is going well, got another two blog assignments to do so hopefully they’ll turn out well and I’ll get good marks for them  !!

Review of ZeFrank

I’ve chosen Zefranks blogs to do my review about. He makes his blogs funny by doing random things like songs that he made himself but he also includes small bits from the news to inform people about things that are happening.

Zefrank makes conversation with the audience by reading the comments his viewers leave him and choosing one to attempt to answer in his blog. He calls his viewers and fans ‘Sport Racers’ and his viewers that do things he says get included in the ‘The League of Awesomeness’.

To make sure he gets everything in that he wants to include, he goes quite quickly and moves from one thing to another. He also talks quite quickly to ensure he gets everything in.

I enjoy watching his blogs as he tries to interact with the audience as much as he can and is quite funny. I think people watch his blogs because he is funny and interesting at the same time.
